Radius Physiotherapy Inc — Website Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 9, 2026

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Radius Physiotherapy Inc. (“Radius Physiotherapy,” “we,” “us,” “our”) handles information collected through our website at radiusphysio.ca. It is written to meet our obligations under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

This policy covers the marketing website only. It does not cover the personal health information we collect when you become a patient or book and attend appointments. That information is handled in accordance with Nova Scotia’s Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) and the consent you provide on our intake forms. See Section 5 for how online booking is handled.

2. Information we collect through this website

Information you give us. If you contact us through the contact form on the website, we collect the details you provide — your name, email address, and the content of your message — so we can respond to your enquiry.

Information collected automatically. When you visit radiusphysio.ca, we automatically collect limited technical and usage information through analytics cookies, including the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your approximate region, and general device and browser information. This information is used in aggregate to understand how visitors use the site. It does not include your name, contact details, or any information about your appointments, treatments, or care.

3. How we use website information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to enquiries you send us;
  • understand how visitors find and use our website, so we can improve it; and
  • measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use website analytics information to make decisions about individuals.

4. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies. Some are necessary for the site to function; others are analytics cookies provided by Google Analytics, which help us measure website traffic and performance.

To protect your privacy, our Google Analytics configuration is set up so that:

  • IP addresses are anonymized and are not stored in a way that identifies you;
  • no clinical, appointment, treatment, or practitioner information is ever sent to Google;
  • Google Signals (cross-device and advertising-based tracking) is turned off; and
  • any email address detected in the data is automatically redacted before it is stored.

A short notice appears on your first visit to let you know the site uses cookies. You can also refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; the website will still work, though some usage measurement will no longer occur.

5. Online booking and your health information

Online booking and patient accounts are provided through Jane (Jane Software Inc.), our practice-management platform, on a separate booking site (radiusphysiotherapy.janeapp.com).

When you book, create a patient account, or complete an intake form, the information you provide — including health information — is collected and stored by us as a health information custodian under PHIA, and is governed by the consent you give on our intake forms, not by this website policy. The Jane booking site operates under Jane’s own privacy and cookie practices.

We have deliberately kept our website analytics separate from this booking process so that no health or appointment information is included in website tracking.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party service on our website:

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) — website usage measurement, configured as described in Section 4.

Our website is built and hosted using Jane Websites. If we add any further third-party tools that collect personal information, we will update this policy and the cookie notice accordingly.

7. How long we keep information

We keep enquiries you send us only as long as needed to respond and for our reasonable business records. Website analytics data is retained for a limited period in Google Analytics and is then deleted automatically.

8. Your privacy rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate information; and
  • withdraw consent to our use of your information, subject to legal and contractual limits.

Requests relating to your health information as a patient are handled under PHIA — please contact the clinic directly.

9. How to contact us
